ECONOMY: BUSINESS, TRADE AND INVESTMENT
South Sudan is the newest country in the world having gained independence from Sudan on 9 July 2011. The areas making up South Sudan accounts for about 75% of the total crude oil production of the old Sudan before independence but remains one of the least developed in the world. That's all going to change from now with the economy depending mostly on crude oil export and agriculture. South Sudan is a growing boom right now for merchants in almost every area of trade as the country is being built from the scratch. The capital Juba is said to be the fastest growing city in Africa with over a million people today compared to barely 100,000 in 2005.
